ABOUT US

When Jones was very young he worked for an Italian family, the Gambinos. They were moonshiners running booze from Indiana to Chicago. When Prohibition ended they needed a legit business so they opened Moon’s Sandwich shop.

Jones went to work for them, washing dishes, making sandwiches and even making Pastrami and Salami and becoming like part of the family. Since the neighborhood was mostly Jewish businessmen Pastrami and corned beef out sold Salami and Capicola. That’s right can you believe it a bunch of Italians selling Jewish food. Only in America!

Jones has always wanted to open an Italian deli and showcase all he learned from the family. So in their honor he named it Gambino’s Little Italian Deli.

A very Italian deli that ironically might have the best homemade Pastrami you ever had!
